What this service is
Athlete Select is an independent equipment matching and purchase-intelligence service. It is educational guidance, not coaching, medical, safety or legal advice, and it is not a store. We do not sell bats and we do not take orders.
Recommendations are a starting point
Sizing is a documented v1 heuristic built from multi-source manufacturer guidance and your answers — not a laboratory measurement. Two athletes with identical measurements can genuinely prefer different bats. When you can, have your athlete swing the bat in person before you buy.
League rules are your final check
We apply season-versioned USSSA rules, including age-group drop restrictions, before anything else. Local leagues and individual tournaments can be stricter. Confirm bat rules with your organisation before purchase; you are responsible for the bat you take to a game.
Rankings and money
Rankings are not influenced by commission, sponsorship, retailer payout, click revenue or ad spend. In the future we may earn a disclosed commission on qualifying purchases; if that happens it will not change which bat is recommended, its fit score or the order of a price table. Prices and availability
Prices and availability appear only for a fresh, verified, exact purchasable variant — brand, family, model year, certification, drop and length. No retailer pricing feed is connected in this beta, so no price is shown. We never present the price of one size, drop or model year as the price of another, and we never claim real-time pricing.
Beta status
Features may change and defects are possible. The service is provided as is, without warranties, and we are not liable for purchase decisions, league eligibility outcomes or third-party retailer transactions.
Children and accounts
No child name, date of birth, photo or contact detail is required or collected. Any email address belongs to an adult. See privacy for what we store and how to have it deleted.
