Privacy
We are asking parents about children. That places a hard limit on what we are willing to collect. Version 2026-08-31.
What we never collect
A child’s name, date of birth, photo, school, team name, or contact details. There is no field for any of them anywhere in this product.
What the questionnaire collects
Age in years, approximate height and weight, experience, level of play, strength, hitter profile, current bat size and feel, and an optional budget. These are equipment fitting inputs, not an identity.
Birthdate is used once and never stored
If you enter a birthdate, it is used in your browser only, to work out an approximate age stage for this one recommendation. It is never saved, never sent to our servers, never put in a URL and never logged. Competition age group — which you choose yourself — is what drives legality.
Where answers are stored
Questionnaire answers stay in your browser session and are cleared when the tab closes. No account is required to get a match.
Beta feedback
If you send feedback on a result we store your response, any comment you type, an anonymous id for that result, the coarse age group, the bats we displayed and the build versions. There is no name, no email and no birthdate attached. Feedback is reviewed by us only and never changes your result. Please do not type personal details into the comment box.
Product analytics
We record first-party, anonymous counts — a random per-tab session id, which step of the questionnaire was reached, whether a result was produced, and the coarse age group. No third-party advertising or tracking pixels, no cross-site profiles, no answers, no free text.
Email signup (optional)
If you choose to sign up we store your email address, which consents you gave, when you gave them and the consent version. It is never linked to your athlete’s answers or to a result. Ask us to remove it and the record is deleted; every future message will carry an unsubscribe link.
Adult accounts only
Any future account, saved match or price alert is tied to an adult’s email address. Alerts are never sent to a child.
Analytics and advertising
We do not build advertising profiles of your athlete and we do not sell questionnaire data. Aggregate, non-identifying usage measurement may be used to improve the matcher.
Your choices
You can get a match without entering a birthdate, an email address, or any optional question. To have a feedback note or a signup deleted, ask us and we delete it.
